Travel to India with Secret Projects

One of the four ways people can engage with our social enterprise is to travel to India on one of our trips. The trips take place in January each year. To find out about the trips that are up and coming, please select the drop down below this one.

Joanna's testimonial below will inspire you to read on

"This is a unique opportunity to hear the stories of what life is like for many women in India and to understand how this wonderful social enterprise is making such a difference to their lives. Every group is different and you will be alternately touched, inspired and uplifted. The route takes you from the  buzz of the city to the peace of the forest with a myriad of sights, sounds and tastes to experience - but do leave some space in your suitcase as there are a lot of lovely things to tempt you to take home as reminders of your trip!" - Joanna travelled on our 2018 South India trip called A Journey to Women's Empowerment

  • Travellers are always responsible for organising their own travel insurance, necessary vaccinations and inoculations, tourist visa to enter India, their inbound and outbound flight to India. Secret Projects is unable to provide advice on any of these things.
  • Before travel Secret Projects will ask each traveller to provide emergency contact details for next of kin (or the person you would wish us to contact on your behalf in an emergency), their travel Insurance company emergency telephone number and any dietary requirements and details of any allergies.

Please note: We do not travel with a medical professional but at least one of the hosts will be a trained first aider.

It is the responsibility of the traveller to ensure that all medications they need are taken on their Customer Trip. We advise travellers to take an additional amount of medication to allow for any delays that might occur with outbound flights or other unforeseen circumstances.

Secret Projects expects that all travellers will fully participate in the trip and remain with the group for the duration of the Customer Trip. If travellers decide to undertake any activities outside of the itinerary, they do so at their own risk.
