Wednesday After‑School Sewstainable Sewing& Crafting Club
£5 per child | Bookable per session | Maximum 5 children
A relaxed, creative after‑school sewing and crafting club for children, held at The Sewstainable Barn, Pulborough Garden Centre.
Each session features a specific sewing or craft project, designed to gradually build children’s skills, confidence, and creativity. The club is supported by friendly volunteers with a variety of sewing and crafting skills. Nearly all the tools and materials used in these sessions are donated by supporters and diverted from landfill.
Booking information
- Sessions are booked individually (no need to commit to a full term)
- Limited to 5 children per session to ensure a calm, supportive environment
- £5 per child, per session
- There is no minimum age to attend
Important supervision information
- One adult per child is required to stay and support them with their project
After‑school details
- Come straight from school
- Please bring a snack tea for your child to enjoy while crafting
What’s included each week
Alongside the guided weekly project, children will always have access to:
- Harumika dolls to dress
- Hand sewing activities
- Button sorting and fine‑motor play
- Paper for drawing, sticking, and stamping
- Colouring in templates
Each child will also receive:
- A tote bag for storing their work
- A learning journal to record projects and progress
Projects can be stored at the barn or taken home and brought back the following week.
Sustainability
All activities use sewstainable sewing and crafting supplies, made from reused and reclaimed materials.
